Leonardo Da Vinci Real interactive machines The genius and the inventions presents 45 full-scale machines,built by a group of academics and skilled craftsmen in Florence Italy after in-depth study of the famous Vinci's Codices.
The machines are grouped into 4 sections based upon applications linked to the elements of nature they exploit ( elements held a strong fascination for Leonardo da Vinci)Air,Water,Earth,Fire. The Mechanisms section completes the exhibition. The total footprint can vary from 800 to 1.200 squared metres.

Already in 1485 Leonardo invented and projected a tortoise shaped vehicle, reinforced with metal sheet, equipped with an internal sighting turet and cannons. A real war machine, a futuristic project for the times,illustrated in the drawings preserved at the London British Library.
